VAP — Vegas Activity Planner

Privacy Policy · Effective September 7, 2026 · Updated September 26, 2026 · Run by Travis Rasmussen for Las Vegas families.

VAP is a family event radar for Las Vegas. This page says, in plain words, what we keep, why, and who sees it. Signing in is optional — you can browse the whole radar without an account. An account lets you save events, add them to your calendar, and share your saves with your household.

1. What we collect

Only if you sign in:

If you only browse, we keep nothing about you. As on any website, Cloudflare (our host) handles each request, Google's sign-in button is Google's own code — loaded even if you never sign in, and we get nothing from it until you tap it — and event posters load from each event's own site. Tapping an event opens the organizer's site; Add to Calendar opens Google Calendar with the event filled in; Share uses your phone's share sheet. What goes out is the event, never anything about you.

2. Accounts are for parents

Accounts are meant for parents. A 6-character family code lets a parent and their spouse share one set of saves. We store no child's name or birthday — only age ranges, and only if a parent enters them. A child cannot create an account. If we learn a child under 13 created one anyway, we'll delete it and everything saved with it.

3. How your info is handled

VAP runs on Cloudflare. To improve the event picks for your family and others, your saved events, thumbs, and notes are also processed on our own computer and with an AI assistant (Claude, by Anthropic) that helps tune the results. If we change how your information is handled, we'll update this page first.

4. Advertising

VAP shows no advertising today. If that ever changes, we'll update this page and ask for any consent the law requires before it does.

5. Keeping it, and deleting it

We keep your information until you delete your account. You can delete it anytime: open the app, tap your name, then Delete my account. That erases your account, your saved events, thumbs, and notes, signs you out, and — if you were the last one in your household — clears the household's saved events too. If your spouse still uses the family code, their saves stay. If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also tells Apple to revoke VAP's access to your Apple ID. You can also email us and we'll remove it. To honor that, we keep one small record — that this email asked to be removed — so you stay off the list. A saved event keeps a copy of its own details so it still shows after the event leaves the radar; a household keeps its most recent notes.

6. Security

Everything travels over HTTPS. Signing in sets one cookie holding a random token that page scripts can't read; we store only a one-way scramble of it. A sign-in lasts up to 90 days and renews while you use the app. Your phone also keeps the last screen it loaded so the app opens offline — on a shared device, sign out when you're done, or clear the site's data.

7. Children's privacy

VAP is not directed at children; the accounts and the app are for parents. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. A parent who believes their child gave us information can email us and we'll remove it.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If VAP ever changes hands, your information does not transfer unless you agree.

9. Contact
